It has taken me a while to write this review because it’s hard to put into words how much The Birth Collective impacted my pregnancy and birth experience.
From the beginning, all three of them were incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and reassuring. Having them by my side meant so much to me.
Sarah was my birth doula, and I truly cannot put into words how incredible she was. My birth was nothing like I had imagined. I had hoped for as unmedicated of a birth as possible, but as you always hear, birth doesn’t always go according to plan. Sarah was truly a saving grace for both my husband and me throughout the entire experience. She was there every step of the way, providing knowledge, comfort, and encouragement. I genuinely don’t know how we would have done it without her. She gave me such a sense of peace, and as someone who is naturally anxious, that was invaluable to me.
After giving birth, I had a really hard time processing my birth because it was so different from what I had pictured in my head. That completely changed when I saw the photos Sarah took during my C-section. She captured such a vulnerable experience in the most beautiful way, and seeing those photos made me incredibly emotional. They helped me see my C-section differently, not just as something that didn’t go according to plan, but as something beautiful, intimate, and incredibly powerful. Seeing the moment my son came into the world through her eyes was truly healing for me, and those photos are something I will cherish forever.
I can never thank Sarah and the entire Birth Collective enough for everything they did for my family. They will forever be such a meaningful part of my journey bringing my son into this world.
If you’re wondering whether having them by your side is worth it, from the bottom of my heart, it is. They are worth every single penny, and I would choose them again in a heartbeat. ??
