We are very grateful to have had Liza as our birth doula. She was warm, thoughtful, and easy to work with throughout the entire experience.
During our first Zoom call, she listened carefully to our preferences and concerns, took detailed notes, and answered all our questions. She also explained what we could expect on the day of delivery, which helped us feel much more prepared.
When my wife’s water broke, Liza joined us at the hospital shortly after we arrived. She was familiar with the hospital environment and knew when to step in and when to give us space. Because our baby was not in an ideal position, my wife pushed for four hours without success. Throughout that difficult process, Liza provided hands-on support while drawing on her experience and professional knowledge to suggest different positions that might help. Many of these positions had not been mentioned by the doctors or nurses, and she worked with the nurses to help us try them. She also provided steady emotional support. When a C-section became necessary, she stayed with us and helped us remain calm. After the delivery, she also gave us helpful guidance with latching.
During the postpartum visit, Liza checked in on both our physical and emotional well-being, showed us several massage techniques, and discussed practical postpartum care. She later sent us a clear summary and links to the resources we had discussed.
Overall, we cannot thank Liza enough. She was incredibly kind, easy to work with, and attentive to our needs. Most importantly, she provided truly professional guidance and support throughout the entire experience. She made us feel that no matter how unpredictable the birth became, she would help us navigate each challenge and find the best possible solution - and that is exactly what she did. This review is also an opportunity for us to express our heartfelt gratitude to Liza for everything she did for our family.
