I had my first child at 19 knowing very little about pregnancy and childbirth. I felt sad that I didn't get to experience a pregnancy and birth that made me feel both educated and connected to baby from start to end.
We had multiple interviews lined up for doulas when I became pregnant with my son and instantly knew Venette was a perfect match for me and my partner. Venette met with us virtually and in person. She provided us with information during our visits and material to look over and procided us a safe space for any and all questions we had!
In person prior to the birth we got to practice partnered pain relief that made us even more comfortable and confident when labor finally came.
During labor she kept us moving and she kept us calm even in times of high pain and physical stress. We had a very long labor and thanks to Venette we were able to laugh, smile and find joy in preparing to welcome our son into the world.
I can't express enough gratitude for the support she gave my family and will forever be grateful I have a birth and delivery I can cherish.
