Early in my pregnancy I decided I wanted a doula to help me make informed decisions, know my options, and feel empowered during my pregnancy, labor, and delivery. After our first meeting with Bailey and Gail, we knew they were the perfect fit! They made us feel so comfortable, assured, and never judged.
They provided so much support throughout my pregnancy- coming to our house for multiple visits to form a birth plan, checking in after each OB visit, and providing invaluable resources and information for any questions I had. This was an added bonus as I had no idea how much peace their support would give me through my pregnancy, and how much I needed that!
When it came to my labor, Gail was an absolutely godsend. She was in it with us from the beginning answering late night calls/ texts and helping guide me as a first time mom who was anxious and eager! She respected my wishes, and helped articulate them to our medical team in a way my husband and I would not have been able to. She brought so many tools, tips, and tricks to the labor room, and helped remind me to breathe and take my time before making any decisions. This was so helpful in an environment that can feel so pressured and rushed! I had a long labor, and Gail was there talking me through it and supporting me every step of the way. She even kept our family in the loop, and was always looking for ways to help take things off our plate!
After our daughter was born, she consistently checked in and answered questions. She even came to our home to debrief and talk about my birth which was so therapeutic!
I cannot recommend Gail enough! Trust me when I say you will not regret having her as part of your doula team. I know that God willing we will be using her for future pregnancies without a doubt!
