We hired Rae as a postpartum doula and we could not recommend her more. We met her via a posting online on facebook and she was professional and prompt with meeting us. Immediately, she had a caring and warm demeanor and made us feel at ease. She came over a few weeks before our daughter was born to meet us and see our home. Even though she did not act as a birth doula, she gave us a lot of really practical and helpful advice about laboring. I was texting her as we were going to the hospital and she had a tremendous enthusiasm for our whole birthing process which was very nice. She came over for 5 or 6 weeks a few nights per week starting on our daughter's fourth day of life. She was on time, professional and took her job very seriously. She really cared for the wellbeing of both the mother and our daughter and was very interested in seeing us thrive as new, first time parents. She allowed us to get much needed rest - she would watch our daughter in a different room and bring her to us for feedings. Rae taught us a lot about everything from bathing our child for the first time, improving breastfeeding latching, and what to do. She is obviously very qualified and knowledgable but one of her strengths is know what to share and when its appropriate with regard to babies and parenting. I recommend Rae to everyone without reservation and I think you would be lucky to get to work with and learn from her.
