My entire prenatal, birth and postpartum was enhanced by meeting Kathie and having her by my side. She meets you exactly where you are from the beginning and offers as much or as little as you need throughout the process - in my case, I needed a lot! A lot of prep, reassurance, resources, questions answered, tips and just general support when my plan started to shift into something else (this is all before reality hit that I was even having a baby). I went from planning for a natural home birth to a pre-scheduled induction in a hospital with an on call doc, and she helped me navigate so many peices of that process - the logistics, what to ask myself and the others involved, helpful resources, and general comfort and care at all of the changes and decisions.
She brings a calm, casual, and deeply caring & attentive presence to meetings, to the delivery room, postpartum visits and any communication in between. I was so grateful to have her guidance from start to finish, to look to her within minutes of having my new baby in my arms, and the quiet in the few hours after, and have her reassurance to figure out what comes next. I feel like I could reach out to her with any random question (and I did) and she will share an array of resources and thoughts for you to consider or talk through with her.
