Before birth, she worked with us to understand and prepare for labor physically and mentally. She offered a patient, evidence-based, and deeply empathetic perspective as we made (sometimes tough) medical decisions before and during labor. In the hospital, she deftly balanced being a strong advocate and a grounded support, and helped us stay confident and positive through the entirety of a long and challenging birth.
Postpartum, Alex did both daytime and overnight visits. She helped us build skills and confidence in basic babycare activities and had brilliant recommendations for us when we were troubleshooting specific challenges. Her overnight support helped us get some much-needed rest. Most importantly, she genuinely loved our little one and offered him incredibly warm and consistent care.
