From the start, we shared our regrets and challenges from our first postpartum experience, and Heidy listened closely while confidently offering her own advice. She understood I wanted to breastfeed but also protect my sleep, so she worked with my husband and me to build a schedule that evolved as we all figured out what worked — I’m getting far more sleep than I expected. She also set up a pump-and-bottle system overnight so my husband could take a feed too, which mattered a lot to us.
Heidy really understands the specific challenges of parenting in NYC, and as a mother of four herself and a doula across the boroughs, she brought so much real, lived experience to her advice. I loved that she checked in on us emotionally and shared what was going on in her own life too — it made our connection with her feel genuine, not transactional.
