During our pregnancy and birth, our doula, Nikki, supported us by meeting with us in our home leading up to birth, demonstrating different positions and stretches to do during contractions, talking me through contractions on the phone at home, and supporting us in the hospital for my water birth. Having a doula made a difference because the knowledge she had about birth allowed me to not have to worry about something was going wrong or what to do next. We were able to ask questions and receive feedback on when to go to the hospital and guidance on when to do something when I was unsure. I would recommend How 2 Mom to families who are having their first baby and looking for guidance/support during labor and birth.
