Heather was such a warm and calming presence for us as a postpartum doula. She felt more like an experienced mom friend than someone we had hired — and you know that anyone who has four kids of their own has a wealth of knowledge and experience to pass on. She helped us feel more confident with our newborn and master the basics: When to size up with diapers, how to give him his first bath, how to suck his snot without fear. I had so much free time during the four hours she came to care for our newborn that I barely knew what to do with myself. We also apppreicated how cautious and communicative she was about illness exposures since we had a baby during cold and flu season. I miss her and I'm so glad she was part of our first month home with our baby!
