As a single mom by choice, I knew going into pregnancy that I would be doing a lot of this on my own. I wanted someone who could help me navigate labor with confidence, answer my questions honestly, and be a steady presence when the day finally arrived. Choosing Cheryl as my doula ended up being one of the best decisions I made.
Throughout my pregnancy, Cheryl was always there when I needed her. She poured so much time into educating me that by the time labor started, I felt informed instead of overwhelmed. I honestly don’t think there was a single question I asked that she couldn’t answer. Because of everything we discussed beforehand, I understood my options and felt confident making the decisions that were right for me.
She worked effortlessly with my nurses and doctors, creating an environment where everyone was working toward the same goal. I always felt respected, informed, and supported.
One thing that really stood out to me was how comfortable Cheryl was in the hospital. It seemed like she knew just about everyone. The nurses and other staff greeted her by name, and it was obvious they were happy to see her. Watching how easily she communicated with everyone gave me even more confidence because I knew I had someone by my side who was experienced and completely in her element.
Looking back, I can’t imagine welcoming my baby without Cheryl there. She gave me the confidence to trust myself and helped me begin motherhood feeling informed, prepared, and excited for what was ahead.
If you’re looking for a doula who is incredibly knowledgeable, truly invested in preparing you for birth, and who will be by your side every step of the way, I can’t recommend Cheryl highly enough.
