I HIGHLY recommend hiring Amber as your doula! I can't say enough positive things about her. She was a huge part of the reason I achieved my dream birth (a vaginal birth after C-section). When I had some complications during pregnancy, she offered some invaluable advice that made a huge difference in my prenatal care and delivery. She has an incredible calm, yet confident demeanor that immediately put me at ease. She seems to have an innate ability to sense what you need and when. I felt supported during labor & birth. It was clear that she has a good relationship with the Mt. Auburn midwives and that they respect her and listen to her suggestions. I feel she really went above and beyond - when there was discussion about inducing me, we had a call with Amber where she answered all my questions and helped to prepare me for induction (and calm my nerves). She offered to come to the hospital any time I needed support or help discussing a decision. After delivery, she stayed at the bed with me and discussed how things went and offered practical tips for recovery. Even 3 weeks post partum, Amber is offering advice and answering my questions. I truly can't recommend her enough. Amber is amazing and I feel so lucky that she was a part of my birth team!
