Melissa has been an incredible resource throughout my pregnancy, labor, and post partum, especially to us as first-time parents. Her calming/encouraging presence, knowledge, and responsiveness were invaluable. She responded to our questions intentionally and helped us make informed decisions as we prepared for parenthood. During labor, she physically supported me through every tough contraction and explained what was going on with my body. Melissa worked so well with our hospital's labor and delivery team, and even those nurses noted that she was so present, helpful, and collaborative. She has been great at continuing to be a resource for us in our early post partum days. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful experience and I can 10000% say it's because Melissa was our doula. She's a big reason why we've looked back at this experience with so much gratitude and peace.
