We cannot recommend Cheryl highly enough. If you came across her, do not hesitate, book her before her schedule is filled up.
She's knowledgeable: My husband and I are both Project Managers, and we take research and learning seriously. We spent weeks researching birth doulas, interviewed over ten, and Cheryl was in a league of her own. With more than 15 years of experience in birth support and lactation consulting, her knowledge is exceptional. More importantly, she’s humble, patient, and an incredible teacher. Every question we had was met with thoughtful explanations and evidence-based resources, and we learned something new from every conversation.
She's caring: While many doulas we interviewed seemed to hold back their expertise, Cheryl was already generously sharing practical advice during our initial consultation. She made us feel supported from day one, and I always felt comfortable asking her anything even my most embarrassing questions.
She's a delightful person: Labor is as much a mental journey as it is a physical one. Having someone you completely trust, who keeps you calm, confident, and even laughing through the toughest and most vulnerable moments, makes an enormous difference. Cheryl was such a bliss to be around, her guidance, companionship and support made my labor process so much less stressful than I ever imagined.
She's a great photographer: During labor, my husband and I were completely immersed in the process and didn’t have the spare mind to document those precious moments. Cheryl captured beautiful, heartfelt photos that we will treasure forever (I’ve already printed several to display in our baby’s nursery.
By the end of my pregnancy and birth journey, Cheryl was no longer just our doula, she had become our friend. Her passion for supporting mothers, babies, and families is truly inspiring, and it shines through in everything she does.
