We loved working with Laurie as our birth Doula. She was recommended by our OB and when we interviewed her we felt an immediate "click" in a way we hadn't with other doulas . She's a thoughtful, straightforward, and patient facilitator who helped us navigate determining what we wanted out of our birth experience. She also really easy to hang out with!
When it came time for our birth, Laurie was like magic. She was able to see what I needed before I even know it, and tools and comfort items seems to just appear out of her magic bag. She also knew where everything was in the birth ward at the hospital we delivered at so she could disappear and get things like extra rags, linens, ice, anything--it was like she lived there!
Laurie was really great at helping us have the birth experience we wanted to have even when there were challenges in the moment. She helped guide both of us so that we felt supported by each other and our care team. We've been singing her praises ever since we had our baby and would not hesitate to recommend her to all of our friends. Also she'll give you a postpartum massage afterwards! Having her on our team helped us feel confident going into the birth, and well supported in the initial post partum stages as she continued to check in on us over the first few weeks.
