Having Ursula as part of our birth support team was the best decision for our family. As our pregnancy for our 2nd baby ended up being high risk, it became quite the mental hurdle leading up to the big day. Not to mention, having a traumatic experience with our 1st birth, I was very intentional on who I needed on our team this time around, as this was our last baby.
Ursula was always quietly checking in on me, remembering when my MFM appointments or NST scans were (knowing how anxious I would be going into them), and regularly seeing her to prep my body with Pilates or giving me the most amazing massages made me feel so ready to meet our baby. When it came to game day, Ursula met us at home when I was in denial that I was in the thick of labour, and giving me the most life saving massages to ease my pain - I honestly don’t think I could have survived without her support, and easing my husband through what must have been quite overwhelming for him to witness. I was able to achieve the most redemptive, powerful birth experience that I truly never thought that I would get. Ursula was always there for our entire crew, especially our 4 year old daughter, whom I was nervous about how she would be with so much change, but Ursula gave me so much reassurance on how resilient eldest daughters are (and sure enough, our girl took to her big sister role immediately and so gracefully).
Ursula was exactly who I needed in the hardest hurdles of my pregnancy and labour/birth experience, and I am forever grateful for the love she has given me and my family. You will not regret having Ursula in your corner and I cannot recommend her enough as part of your birth team!
