We became pregnant with our first child, a daughter, in the Fall of 2023. My husband and I didn't really know what to expect from the delivery process and I had many girlfriends who had raved about their experiences with doulas. I did a little research and reached out to Colorado Caring Doulas online. Terri responded and we set up a time to meet. I instantly felt comfortable with her and told my husband when she left- we don't need to meet with anyone else. My first birth did not go as planned. I wanted a spontaneous labor without meds but when I was over a week late and high risk, I needed to be induced. Terri supported us through 24hrs of labor, 3hrs of pushing and a c-section. She never judged my decisions when the meds caused contractions in sets of 3 and I decided I needed an epidural. She empowered me to trust my gut.
Terri has become a friend and stayed close to us after my daughters birth, so when we found out we were having a second, there wasn't a question in our minds that Terri would be with us. I wanted to try fur a VBAC and both my Dr and Terri were supportive. In June of 2026, my son arrived via a successful and very smooth VBAC. Terri was there for every moment and helped our son get into the perfect position as I labored.
We forever be connected to Terri. I'd recommend her 100 times over to anyone.
