if you're on the fence about having a doula be part of your birth experience, do it! I truly don't think I would have made it through without Katie. As a first time mom, early on in labor it was so helpful to have someone to communicate with about what was going on. She was incredibly responsive and helped me feel calm as labor was starting. As labor picked up, she came over and I felt so reassured and confident just having her there. She knew exactly what to say and helped me find strength over fear. As my labor stretched on over several days, she came over each day with new ideas to try and renewed energy and motivation to share. When I ultimately decided to throw my unmedicated birth plan out and get induced, she fully supported my decision. She was there to offer information without judgment. Throughout my hospital stay, through active labor, and delivery- she held my hand, coached my partner, and helped me feel centered and strong. My partner and I both felt incredibly seen and supported throughout the process and are immensely grateful for Katie's guidance into parenthood. I absolutely recommend working with Katie!
