My husband and I hired Sabrina as a birthing doula for our first child. We met with her twice prior to birth, once after birth, and she was with us in the hospital for many hours leading up to and during our child's birth.
She is a great listener, very attentive, and motherly, always anticipating my needs. Prior to birth she walked through everything we should expect and helped me flesh out my birth preferences which included things like a music playlist, aromas (not my thing but others love it), and what things to say to me during labor. She also helped us prepare our house for the baby and gave helpful recommendations for a variety of things like binkis, bottles, and breast pumps & accessories.
Amazingly, she ended up delivering two babies in a matter of hours at different hospitals with my baby being her second of the day. She didn't hestiate to return to my hospital to help deliver my child at 3am after being awake for over 24 hours. Needless to say she's pretty incredible. During the birth she maintained professionalism despite my nurse making rude, condescending comments to her, where the nurse was way out of line. I appreciated her ability to stand her ground and look out for my best interests while also avoiding a conflict. Ultimately everyone in the room was working toward the same goal of keeping both mom and baby comfortable and healthy and there was absolutely no reason for the nurse's disrespectful behavior. Furthermore Sabrina noticed my epidural line had detached at some point, likely due to my shifting positions during labor, something the nurse should have caught but luckily Sabrina noticed instead and immediately notified the nurse which made a huge difference during the final stages of delivery.
Overall I can't recommend Sabrina highly enough and I'm so grateful she was with me throughout this daunting and exciting process.
