We had such a wonderful experience with Jaya as our postpartum doula, and I’m so grateful for all her support during those early weeks.
From our very first call in December, she took the time to explain what a doula does and helped us understand how she could support us after the baby arrived. She also visited us in April before the birth, looked at our nursery / bottle setup, and suggested a few additional items that made life so much easier once our little one was here.
She came to our home the day after our baby was born and spent seven sessions with us. Her guidance during my recovery was invaluable - she showed me comfortable feeding positions, helped with breastfeeding and latching, and patiently encouraged me to get over my mental block around pumping.
She also took wonderful care of our baby, giving us much-needed time to rest and recharge. On top of that, she taught us practical newborn care, including tummy time, massage, bath time, and techniques to help relieve gas, which gave us so much more confidence as first-time parents.
Beyond all her knowledge, she was incredibly warm, kind, and easy to talk to. She made us feel supported every step of the way and was such a calming presence during a very emotional and overwhelming time.
We couldn’t have asked for a better postpartum doula, and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to any new family!
