Gretchen was a blessing in the process of my wife giving birth. She was supportive, encouraging, and made sure that we were going in the right direction throughout the time my wife and I were at the hospital. Gretchen met with us before and after our baby boy was born, and she taught, asked questions, and helped us prep for that time. She brought many thoughts and ideas that I didn't even consider that made the process smoother. For example, creating pre-made texts to family and friends so when my wife was in labor, I copied and pasted some texts and then was able to be present with my wife in the process. I was encouraged to see my wife have someone who was able to walk with her in the process, as having a baby can be stressful, and I did not even know where to start. As a husband, I felt supported by Gretchen as she advocated for me as a dad as well as brought me in to help my wife when she was in need or needed care. I greatly enjoyed Gretchen as our doula!
