Ashley was our birth doula and we had a wonderful experience working with her! We met several times prior to birth so we could discuss ways to encourage labor, our birth plan, and postpartum preparation. We spent the first session discussing our birth preferences, which helped me and my husband understand what to expect at the hostpital. In our next session, we continued this discussion and reviewed positions to help relieve some pregnancy-related pain that I was experiencing, as well as supportive postitions while in labor. We appreciated Ashely's thorough approach and guidance prior to birth.
My birth significantly varied from my original birth plan, however, I felt supported by Ashley through throughout the whole day. She provided hands on assistance to help with pain management, and company and moral support for my husband. Ashley created a calm atmosphere in the room and helped explain our birth preferences to the hospital care team. She helped us feel confident that everything would be okay, and we felt more at easy with her presence. We welcomed a healthy baby despite all of the changes in our birth plan!
Even after birth, Ashley continued to check in on us via text and visited a few weeks later. We enjoyed discussing our birth story and hearing her perspective of the day. I'm so happy we chose to work with Ashely! We wouldn't hesistate to work with her again and recommend her to others.
