Lucy was amazing. I was able to stick to my birth plan and have a safe and fast delivery thanks to her help! I never met the doctor who delivered my baby and they treated me more like a data point than a person. Lucy on the other hand was paying attention to how I was feeling and advocated for me each step of the way.
I went to the hospital at 1cm dilated around 3pm and the doctor wanted to give me pitocin and break my water for me which wasn’t what I wanted (or needed). Lucy gave me the option of walking around and doing stretches/exercises to move me along. From there I progressed very quickly and Lucy was there holding my hand and giving me encouragement each step of the way. She was such a huge comfort to me and I don’t know what I would have done without her. Highly recommended her!
