Sampaguita came to my partner and I during such a low moment of our lives when we were drowning in distress and grief. They created such a safe and inviting space for my partner and I to feel held as we processed our feelings outload for the first time post miscarriage & abortion, especially as a queer bipoc couple, helping my partner and I reconnect and rediscover our love for one another. Despite my delay in contacting Sampaguita after all of the medical things had taken place, I do not regret asking them to be my doula one bit, they were the 'somebody' I needed, who aligned with my beliefs and identities, to guide my partner and I through such a difficult and life altering moment.
