We are so grateful for Amber and the incredible role she played in the birth of our daughter. As first-time parents, we hired Amber to help us navigate labor and delivery with the hope of having a natural, unmedicated hospital birth. In the months leading up to our daughter's arrival, Amber provided exceptional education, guidance, and support for both my husband and me. She helped us feel informed, confident, and empowered as we prepared for birth.
Our birth story took an unexpected turn at my 36-week appointment when I was sent directly to triage because of high blood pressure. I was quickly diagnosed with preeclampsia and told I needed to be induced immediately. Although it wasn't the birth I had envisioned, Amber was a steady, calming presence throughout my 36-hour induction and labor.
Because I was on a magnesium drip, I was confined to the bed for most of my labor. Amber spent hours helping me through position changes, encouraging me every step of the way, and advocating for my wishes while working alongside my medical team. I truly believe that without her support, my labor would have ended in a C-section. Despite all the unexpected complications and challenges, I was able to have a beautiful vaginal delivery, and three days later we brought home our healthy, beautiful baby girl.
Amber's support didn't end after delivery. She has continued to check in on us, offering encouragement, reassurance, and guidance during the postpartum period. We are incredibly thankful for Amber and the care she provided throughout this journey. We cannot recommend her highly enough to any family looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and unwavering advocate during pregnancy, birth, and beyond!
