I hired Stacy early on in my 3rd pregnancy. I was determined to have an unmedicated VBA2C. Stacy was very supportive and gave me information on things to do that would increase my chances of having success in my birth goal. I worked with her, my doctor and a chiropractor. At 39 weeks I started having contractions at 130am after doing 2 things to naturally induce that Stacy told me about, I went to my doctors appointment that morning and was 3cm and 70% effaced but the on call doctor told me I would have to have a scheduled csection since I had 2 prior csections. I didn't agree and left to go to my chiropractor appointment. At 11am my water broke in the parking lot of the chiropractor. I called my husband to meet me at home, my mom picked up our older 2 kids and we went to the hospital at 2pm. I was 4cm and 80% effaced. I was progressing in labor and they confirmed my water broke. The hospital was trying to force me into a csection. I called Stacy and asked her opinion since I was progressing, she recommended we leave the hospital and find a different one to go to. I found another one to go to but waited a few more hours before going (a tad late, contractions were 2 mins apart.) I called Stacy to let her know the hospital we were going to, which was over an hour away from her. We got to the hospital and I was 8cm and fully effaced. They did an ultrasound, within 10 mins I was 10cm and ready to push. I only pushed for 45 mins. Stacy didnt to make it to the hospital for the birth but I had my unmedicated VBA2C and I really think it was from her tips and advising me to go to another hospital. She got there shortly after the baby was born. I ended up with 3rd degree tears and the placenta wouldn't detach so I had to go to the OR. Stacy stayed with my husband, baby and me once I got back in the room. She made sure we were okay before she left. I had a great experience with her, her advice and experience was extremely helpful.
