My first birth was traumatic but having Hannah as one of my support people for my 2nd birth helped me have the redemptive and beautiful birth I was hoping for.
She helped create a supportive and calm environment for both me and my husband even when things became intense and scary.
She has such a beautiful soul. Her empathy to past experiences and current fears made me feel so supported from our first meeting together. I had met with a couple other doulas previously and came away feeling like they would do a good job, but I felt like they may not have the same understanding of my specific needs to support me the way I needed. After my first meeting with her, I got in my car and texted my husband "I found my doula!"
I was hoping to find a doula who was trauma informed and I 100% found that in Hannah.
I wish I had her support during my first birth. I'm certain my experience would have been completely different.
