I initially imagined that her role would mostly be caring for the baby so I could rest, but what made Sheri exceptional was her ability to recognize what our family needed in the moment and step in wherever she could make the biggest impact. She has a wonderful way of anticipating needs without being intrusive. Some days that meant caring for our baby so I could shower, nap, or spend time with my older child. Other days it meant washing bottles and pump parts, folding baby laundry, doing baby baths, preparing meals, tidying the kitchen, or taking care of other small tasks that can quickly pile up. Those acts of service gave me the mental space to recover and be more present with my family. Also,her cookies are the best!
Sheri is incredible with babies, and she is adept at handling difficult situations that arise during newborn care. I felt completely confident leaving our baby in her care, which allowed me to truly rest. She also supported the routines we were trying to establish, while respecting our parenting preferences.
Sheri consistently confirmed visits, communicated clearly, and was always dependable. I never had to wonder whether something would get done or whether she would show up—she was professional, punctual, and thoughtful in every interaction. Beyond the practical help, Sheri brought a calming presence into our home. She always met us where we were, and offered reassurance and encouragement.
