It was a total pleasure to work with Eli! We hired her to be our postpartum overnight doula and babysitter for our baby's first few weeks and months with us. She came over two nights a week for the first two weeks, then one night a week for the next few weeks. And when we had leftover night doula hours we no longer felt like we needed, she converted those to daytime babysitting hours in the first few months so we could go out for adult time.
Eli is calm, easy-going, and clearly very experienced -- she taught us something new about storing milk or soothing the baby or safe sleep every time she visited, which was really helpful to us as first-time parents. She also came to visit in person before the baby was born to get a sense of our setup and walk us through what a typical night would look like.
It was so helpful to have someone stay overnight in the early days and weeks so that we could get a little more sleep than we would have otherwise. Eli would soothe our baby in another room and then bring him to us when it was time to eat. She had a flexible system in place that we could adapt to meet our needs and preferences.
We can't say enough about how valuable it is to have someone we trust in our home and watching our baby. We look forward to continuing to turn to her in the future!
