We didn't originally plan to use a doula, but I am SO GLAD we decided to hire one at the last minute. As first-time parents, we were pretty overwhelmed and unprepared, but Dana's hands-on knowledge and kind, calm presence alleviated a lot of our fears throughout the whole labor process. Afterward we agreed we would have paid 10x the amount for her support. The in-home postpartum visits Dana offered were also amazing. In those first tender, tired, overwhelming, body-aching days back at home with our precious new baby, Dana's massages offered deep calm and relief. If you're considering hiring Dana for labor and postpartum support, do it! She is kind, reliable, responsive, good-spirited, and has rare intuition and skill for physical touch, counter-pressure, and massage. She is a gift!
