Where do I start with Jennifer?!
Jennifer made the birth of our first baby girl as calm and positive an experience as possible. We had two prenatal sessions, support throughout labor, and a postpartum visit. Every interaction left us feeling comfortable, supported, and prepared.
Our labor lasted more than 30 hours, and Jennifer was invaluable from the start. As soon as contractions began, I could text or call her for guidance on what to do, when to go to the hospital, and practical tips that made a huge difference.
During labor, she helped me try different positions, reminded us to eat and stay hydrated, and talked through decisions when we needed support. Her experience and calming presence gave us confidence every step of the way.
Most importantly, when complications arose near the end of labor, Jennifer was exactly who I needed. Our daughter was taken to the NICU, and my husband went with her. While the doctors managed my own complications, Jennifer stayed by my side and held my hand through it all. In that moment, having her there felt like having a mother figure in the room, advocating for my emotional well-being and providing comfort during a scary and overwhelming experience.
Before labor, I worried having a doula might feel awkward since she was essentially a stranger. It was the exact opposite. Jennifer brought reassurance, comfort, and calm throughout the entire process.
I cannot say enough positive things about her. She is kind, calm, intelligent, experienced, and completely nonjudgmental. If you have the opportunity to work with Jennifer, you will be so grateful you did.
Five stars isn't enough. We will always be thankful for the role she played in bringing our daughter into the world.
