As my due date approached, she was always available and supportive. When winter weather threatened her travel, she arranged a backup doula just in case, but thankfully it wasn’t needed—Odessa drove through difficult conditions to be there early that morning and stayed with us through labor and even after my C-section.
She advocated for the birth experience I hoped for while also supporting my husband and me when doctors said an emergency C-section was necessary. Although my birth didn’t go as planned, I felt heard, cared for, and supported by Doula Odessa. She gave me confidence and strength during a difficult experience, and I’m so grateful to have had her by my side.
