I met Melissa the day I gave birth and it felt like I had known her for much longer! My original doula had a previous commitment when I started going into labor so she graciously found Melissa to cover for her during that time. We figured I'd be laboring for awhile so we thought my original doula would be back, but my birth happened so fast that Melissa was there for us for the entire process! She stepped in seamlessly and immediately was corresponding with us over text and FaceTime, offering suggestions for ways to get through contractions. She met us at the hospital so fast and I immediately felt better when she was there. She was so comforting during my labor and delivery, we were extremely grateful for her calming presence and help during my unmedicated birth. Her lactation experience was an added bonus as she stayed and helped us with the first feeding. Melissa was truly amazing, we can't recommend her enough!
