We did not know Dalal before hiring her as our doula for our first baby. Once we met with her, we knew she would be the right person to be there with us through the journey. Her warmth and open heart made us feel at ease while preparing for birth. She stayed by our side during our entire extremely long birth (48 hours!). She kept us nourished, hydrated, and comforted. She was the steady rock during what turned out to be a challenging birth experience. After our baby was born, she went above and beyond by helping us clean our home. She brewed up magical healing infusions, gave me the most relaxing foot massage with an aromatic herbal soak, she checked in on us but gave space when needed, and ultimately she guided me through a private, ceremonial closing-of-the-bones ritual to complete my pregnancy.
