Choosing Jill as our doula was, without a doubt, one of the best decisions we made during our pregnancy.
From our very first call, after interviewing several doulas, I knew she was our person. My husband and I moved from Costa Rica to Santa Clarita four years ago for his job, and without a local support system or familiarity with the U.S. medical system, having a doula felt incredibly important.
From the beginning, Jill made us feel informed, supported, and reassured. She explained everything—from the basics to the more complex parts of labor—in a way that was easy to understand and never overwhelming.
On the day our daughter was born, Jill was amazing. She made sure we understood every conversation with the medical team, advocated for us when needed, helped me change positions after my epidural to encourage our baby to descend, and guided me through pushing with patience, kindness, encouragement, hydration, and gentle reminders to breathe. She also captured beautiful photos we’ll treasure forever.
Even after the birth, she stayed to ensure our birth preferences were respected and even helped us move all our belongings to our postpartum room.
Having Jill as our doula was both a privilege and a gift. She helped us welcome our sweet Chris into the world while making us feel safe, informed, empowered, and deeply cared for.
Thank you, Jill, for making this world a better place. Caring for new mothers and their babies with such love and compassion is one of the most important and honorable callings I can imagine.
