We hired Paola to be both our birth doula and postpartum night doula for our first baby. We also did 1 half-day daytime session with her, which was very worth it. She showed us how to perform a bath, which was amazing; our baby slept through the entire thing!
We are extremely grateful to have had Paola as our doula. At first, we were unsure if we really needed a birth doula since we were doing a hospital birth. However, there was a particularly difficult moment where Paola’s experience and knowledge helped guide us in the moment and drastically shaped our experience in a much more positive light. For this reason and all of the support she gave throughout the labor process both physically and emotionally, we highly recommend having her as a birth doula as well as postpartum.
Paola’s knowledge and experience in all areas is quite impressive. She is very knowledgeable about breastfeeding and newborn sleep, which were absolutely essential to the first month that we had her. Paola not only taught us how to breastfeed hands-on, but also setup a feeding schedule and help us get as much sleep as we could. We went from the doctors being worried about potential jaundice due to weight loss in the few days after birth, to surpassing her birth weight handily at the 2 week mark thanks to Paola’s help without any interventions.
We had Paola from the first night we came home, which was extremely helpful to calm our anxieties and immediately give us a base level of confidence that we did not have. She helped us develop a routine and understand the basics. Paola has helped us more than anyone in working with our baby’s digestive issues and how it impacts her sleep. She’s always problem solving and going above and beyond. She’s always available for questions.
We highly recommend Paola to anyone looking for help when having their baby. We couldn’t imagine having this experience without her.
