Stephanie was my doula for my first birth in June 2025. After connecting via text, my husband and I scheduled an in-person prenatal visit. It was so lovely meeting with her! I felt ?n?ervous as a first ?time mom - hoping that I would remember to ask all the things and feel more prepared. I felt connected with Stephanie right away - she was kind, funny, and confident in her knowledge as she got the conversation going. I left our meeting knowing that it was okay if I didn't know everything - that's what she was there for! She covered all our preferences and more, and whatever I missed or had questions about, I was able to text her in the weeks leading up to my birth. She was responsive and incredibly knowledgeable - sent resources along with her suggestions from experience. It's safe to say that by the time my delivery came, I fully trusted Stephanie.
My early labor began in the middle of the night and I felt prepared to navigate it on my own. When active labor began in the morning, Stephanie answered right away and met me at the hospital in triage. It was comforting to see her when she arrived, especially in such an unknown/new situation.
Throughout my labor, Stephanie provided physical support upon my request, suggested alternative positions to make my labor more productive, and advocated for me when I was focused on working through a contraction.
I am forever grateful for Stephanie and not recommend her enough.
