I can’t fully express how grateful my husband and I are to have had Rebecca on our birth team. From our first meeting, we knew we didn’t need to interview anyone else. She was an answer to prayer and exactly who we hoped would walk this journey with us. This was my first birth, and from every meeting through delivery and postpartum check-ins, Rebecca was a steady presence. She was incredibly knowledgeable, reassuring, and made sure we felt informed and confident in every decision without ever pushing her own opinions. We felt she was in our corner leading up to the birth, and when the day finally came, man oh man—she was just what my heart needed! When I went into labor and we called her, she quickly recognized I was much further along than I realized. After assessing me at home, she confirmed it was time to head to the hospital. Her expertise and intuition were absolutely right. I arrived already 7–8 cm dilated, 90% effaced, and ready to begin pushing within about an hour of arriving. After 4 long hours of non-medicated pushing, our perfect little boy arrived. During labor, all I can say is that she was an absolute rock. She was never intrusive, just a steady presence providing comfort, encouragement, and a wise calm for both my husband and me. When my strength waned, she braced me and provided the grounding I needed to bring our baby earth-side. She honored the sanctity of each moment, allowing my husband and me to lean into it undisturbed. She knew how to read the room, offering what was needed at just the right time. And when it was all said and done, her gorgeous photos provided a window into one of the most miraculous events of my life through an intimate lens—memories I will forever cherish.
