After days of research and wading through all of the doulas out there, my husband found Heather. This was our first pregnancy and we were told at 20 weeks that our baby would have a cleft lip and palate. We were scared and we needed someone we could count on to be in our corner throughout everything. We took her birthing class which was so informative and helpful. Unfortunately, my birth ended up being the complete opposite of what we planned. I ended up having to be induced. I labored for two days, pushed for 5 hours, then needed a cesarean. When Heather got to the hospital, she was the biggest help to my husband and I. She helped me stay strong during the most miserable time for me. I’m so grateful she was apart of our journey.
