We asked Janice to be our doula as I had a traumatic birth with my first baby and was determined to have a healing birth for the second. Janice had first hand experience with this, as well has so much education that she continues and knowledge that she has gathered in supporting so many families. She is so kind and supportive and goes above and beyond.
She was an amazing support when I started to navigate GD and mourned my pregnancy going a different way, and even during two day prodromal labour was there for me whenever I needed. We took her birthing classes where we learned so much even it being my second pregnancy. During the birth itself she was an amazing support for my husband and myself, and I'm so honoured she was there for my successful VBAC and healing birth of my daughter.
We had her help postpartum and I wish everyone could experience her postpartum help. She feels like family, the kind of family you want there to hug you and support you. She has a way of making you feel so comfortable, always the kind voice in my head to be gentle on myself in postpartum and a wealth of knowledge with breastfeeding support, cooking healthy meals, toddler advice and support, and easing the transition during a big life change. She truly goes above and beyond and being a doula is not a job for her, it is a passion and love. Thank you Janice for everything!
