As first-time parents planning a home birth, we had a very clear vision for our daughter’s birth. She took the time to truly listen, understand what mattered most to us, and support our vision without judgment or pressure. Even with limited time before labor, she gave us the confidence and reassurance we needed, answering every question with patience and helping us trust the process, our birth team, and ourselves.
When labor began, her calm presence was invaluable. She knew exactly when to encourage, when to offer gentle guidance, and when to simply hold space. Because of her, I felt completely safe to surrender to labor. I never felt rushed or overwhelmed—only supported.
Our daughter, Brooke, was born peacefully at home in the water after just three pushes. Looking back, what stands out most is how protected and empowering the entire experience felt. She helped create an environment where I could fully experience birth exactly as I had hoped.
The greatest compliment I can give is this: even though she joined us late in pregnancy, she helped us achieve the birth we had envisioned all along. Her ability to listen, adapt, and support so wholeheartedly is truly remarkable.
