Lori is truly an amazing doula. Not only was she incredibly helpful and necessary for my home birth, but she was also there for me throughout my entire pregnancy. Any questions I had were answered. Lori always provided a calming and knowledgeable presence, which was incredibly helpful especially during labor. She was with me for the entirety of my 24 hours of labor. She set a calming mood by dimming lights and lighting candles for me. She applied hip compresses which helped a great deal with the contraction pain, she coached me on breathing, she helped me to lean on a stability ball and rock back and forth, she stood and let me lean and hold on to her during contractions. It was 2020 and I was unable to hire a photographer so Lori even managed to get plenty of photos and videos of my birth for me! After giving birth Lori taught me how to breastfeed my baby. The first month of breastfeeding was a challenge for me and I don't believe I could have continued it without Lori's knowledge and expertise. She also cooked some postpartum meals for me. Lori made me feel so cared for and that is what mothers need the most during childbirth and postpartum. I couldn't recommend her enough! She absolutely loves being a doula and she will go to the ends of the earth to provide you with the best experience possible. For Lori it is more a passion than a job. My son is six years old now and I thank God for Lori who helped me to bring him into this world!
