We reviewed our birth plan together, and I quickly realized that birth plans rarely unfold exactly as expected. Even so, those conversations prepared me to understand the decisions that might arise during labour and gave me confidence in navigating them. Laine broke down medical terminology into language I could understand and helped me recognize that, in most situations, I had choices. That knowledge made me feel informed and empowered throughout the process.
During labour, her calm presence was incredibly reassuring. She communicated effectively with the hospital staff, helping them understand my preferences and advocate for the birth experience I wanted. She also supported my husband by guiding him in how best to support me emotionally and physically through the labor process. Highly recommend!!
