We loved working with Britney for the birth of our first child. Britney was recommended to us by our OB and she was the perfect fit to support us before, during, and after the birth of our son. Having a doula was a nonnegotiable for me, as I was extremely anxious about the process of giving birth and I knew I needed a strong advocate. Britney was all of that - and more ! She assuaged my fears, as well as those of my husband, and made us feel empowered and prepared.
We had a bit of a curveball thrown our way at week 36 when we learned our son was breech. The previous work we had done with Britney made me feel confident in proceeding with a planned c-section (it was deemed medically necessary) and we were thrilled that she could still be with us for the birth.
I ended up going into labor early and Britney was by our side for the whole time we were in labor & delivery, as well as the operating room. She knew everyone and had the respect of the entirety of the medical team that assisted in our son's birth. She went above and beyond in helping to enforce our wishes, including working with the charge nurse to swap our our primary nurse - the first did not have the right vibes. Britney taught me to feed our son in his first precious hours and was instrumental in making us feel as confident as we could with our newborn.
All in all, we could not recommend Britney more highly and loved our time working with her.
