Cherish served as my doula for the birth of my second son in early April, and I would recommend her a million times over to any expecting parent.
After a traumatic first birth with a different doula, I had a lot of anxiety preparing for my second birth and hopeful VBAC. Cherish not only provided emotional support and encouragement, but also gave me very specific recommendations to prepare my body for labor and to help me encourage baby into an optimal position. She was so easy to talk to and spend time with; after our first conversation, she felt like someone I had known for years and someone I was comfortable with attending my delivery. Throughout my pregnancy, Cherish regularly checked in to see how I was feeling and how my appointments were going. She provided resources that were incredibly helpful to both me and my husband.
When I went into labor, Cherish was the MVP of my birth team, she knew just what to say and what touch to provide to help me through contractions. She was able to perfectly intuit when I needed additional support and when to step back. She provided a calm and knowing presence that helped me feel confident in every decision I made. In large part thanks to Cherish, I had the VBAC of my dreams and even after delivery, she continued to check in on me to ensure breastfeeding was going well and provided additional resources as I needed them. I would never give birth without a doula and I truly cannot recommend Cherish enough to anyone making that decision.
