Despite complex risk factors, including a previous c-section and a history of preeclampsia, Mariah provided the education and preparation my husband and I needed to feel equipped to have as natural and as smooth of a labor as possible this second time around. She helped us navigate our decisions and kept the environment as stress-free as possible. Even when we were thrown a major curveball with a repeat diagnosis of severe pre-e, Mariah supported us wholeheartedly. After 39 hours of labor, I successfully had a VBAC and welcomed my baby girl.
Mariah was prepared with everything needed to make the hospital room feel relaxing, helping me remain confident and comfortable. She was fantastic at coaching my husband on how to participate while knowing when to step in herself. Despite my slow progress, compounded by the magnesium used to treat my pre-e, she remained patient and steadfast in her pursuit to help me achieve the birth I wanted. I am so grateful to have had her on my team and deeply cherish the beautiful photos she took to commemorate the experience.
