I was fortunate enough to have Laurie as my doula for the birth of both of my children. I highly recommend her! During my first labor, it was invaluable to have her guiding us through the process of labor and providing support and pain relief. I faced several complications during my second birth and Laurie was the person who would stop and explain what was going on and why we could or could not do something, which greatly diffused stressful situations. I was also in the rare position of needing to transition to back up doulas towards the end of both of my labors. Laurie made sure I was familiar with her backups ahead of time to ensure that went smoothly, which it did. Her massages are wonderful and I also appreciated her availability to debrief and her check-ins post partum.
