There aren’t enough words to express how grateful I am for my doula Christina and everything she did for me during the birth of my second child, Anthony, on June 8.
Having a baby is such a vulnerable and emotional experience, and from the very beginning she made me feel supported, respected, and cared for. Christina took the time to listen to my concerns, answer my endless questions, and help me feel confident going into labor.
When labor started, her presence brought a sense of calm that I can’t fully describe. She was there every step of the way, encouraging me when things got tough, reminding me to trust my body, and helping me stay focused on bringing my baby into the world. She knew exactly what I needed, whether it was physical comfort, emotional support, or simply a reassuring voice.
As a second-time mom, I thought I knew what to expect, but having a doula completely changed my birth experience for the better. I felt stronger, more empowered, and more in control because of her support.
Looking back on Anthony’s birth, I know Christina played such an important role in helping make it a positive and beautiful experience. I will always be thankful for her kindness, compassion, and dedication.
