I knew I wanted to hire a doula as soon as I found out we were pregnant with our 3rd child. I met with several area doulas, all of whom were very kind, but after meeting with Hannah I knew she would be the best fit! She was very caring, confident & organized and had experience with labor support in a hospital setting. She made such a positive impact on my pregnancy journey starting from our first meeting where she answered my concerns about my OB provider by recommending and amazing midwife group (which made a huge difference in the level of care I received throughout my pregnancy).
My goal was to have an unmedicated birth, I knew my husband and I would need support to make that goal happen. Hannah was so wonderfully prepared to help us create a birth plan and shared many resources to prepare for labor. She introduced us to a TENS unit for pain management (which was a God-send during my labor).
When it came time for baby to join us Hannah was so calm collected and prepared, while also joining in our excitement.
My husband was also so grateful to have Hannah in the hospital with us. After the birth of our sweet boy, he shared how grateful he was to have her support, she jumped right in and knew what to do, especially during the moments he felt unsure of how to help.
She listened clearly to the Midwife, doctor and nurses and communicated with me to make sure I concented to what was asked or helped make me aware of what was going to happen next while I was in 'labor land'.
I would without reservation recommend hiring a doula, and more specifically recommend hiring Hannah??.
