Hiring Chelsea was one of the best decisions I made as a first-time parent.
From the beginning, she took the time to thoroughly educate my husband and I on birth options, birth plans, hospital versus birth center care, medical terminology, procedures we might be offered, and the benefits and risks of different choices. She provided so many valuable resources that helped my husband and me do our own research and make informed decisions throughout pregnancy and birth. Having that knowledge gave me so much confidence.
Chelsea was incredibly supportive throughout pregnancy, meeting with us multiple times and always making herself available. When labor began, she truly went above and beyond. She stayed with us from Sunday afternoon until Tuesday morning through a very long labor and birth. Her dedication and commitment were remarkable, and I always felt like I had someone calm, knowledgeable, and reassuring by my side.
She also helped create exactly the peaceful birth environment I had hoped for. Even when our birth required several changes from the original plan, Chelsea adapted seamlessly and supported us every step of the way.
My husband appreciated her just as much as I did. She was a wonderful support for both of us and felt like an essential part of our birth team. Her care didn't stop after delivery. She continued checking in on us postpartum and even visited to make sure we were adjusting well and that both baby and parents were doing okay.
If you're looking for a hands-on, experienced, knowledgeable doula who genuinely cares about her clients, I cannot recommend Chelsea enough. She has an incredible network of resources, a wealth of knowledge, and the confidence that comes from years of experience, while still continuing to learn and grow. We are so grateful for her support and would absolutely choose her again for any future births.
